Hi, I'm Jack

I help college students turn accounting from the class they're dreading into one they can actually handle, and maybe even enjoy. Financial and managerial accounting derail more business majors than almost any other required core class, and I've spent hundreds of hours on the other side of that struggle, helping students work through it.

I graduated from The Ohio State University with a BSBA in Accounting and a 4.0 GPA across all of my accounting coursework. While I was there, I served as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Financial and Managerial Accounting, where I spent more than 700 hours guiding students through the exact courses that tend to trip them up. That experience taught me something a textbook can't: where students actually get stuck, and how to explain those moments so they finally click.

Today I work with students from universities across the country, from first-time accounting students to those tackling advanced undergraduate coursework. I also work with students building toward graduate-level accounting and the CPA exam. My approach centers on one idea: understanding the story behind every transaction. Instead of memorizing formulas, we work through the process of identifying transactions and tracking their effects all the way through the financial statements. Once you understand how it all ties together, accounting stops being a pile of rules to memorize and starts making intuitive sense.

Every student comes in at a different place, so I tailor each session to exactly what you need — shoring up the fundamentals, working through difficult material, or getting ready for an exam. My goal isn't just to help you pass. It's to build the confidence and understanding you'll carry into the rest of your degree and your career.
